WHAT AMOUNT PER HECTARE WILL FARMERS RECEIVE THIS YEAR

This year, farmers will receive BGN 121.63 per hectare under the so-called Green direct payments, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The money is directed to farmers who follow practices that are favorable for the climate and the environment.

The area established for support under the scheme is nearly 3.804 million hectares. This year's rate is BGN 10 per hectare lower than last year, the money is expected to reach farmers by the end of this month.

According to the indicative schedule of the Agriculture Fund, the support under the protein crop and cotton schemes must be paid by the end of April.
