THE DAILY ALLOWANCE FOR A BUSINESS TRIP TO BULGARIA IS DOUBLED
The minimum amount of daily allowance for a business trip to Bulgaria should be increased from BGN 20 to BGN 40. Changes in the Ordinance on business trips in the country, which were approved at today's government meeting, provide for changes.
The purpose of the amendments is to ensure an adequate amount of daily allowances to cover the cost of food on secondment against the backdrop of rising inflation. The last change in their value was on January 1, 2008, when it was set at BGN 20.
It is also possible for the daily allowance to be up to 200 percent of the statutory minimum, i.e. up to BGN 80, at the discretion of the seconding officer, another collective body for the management of the enterprise or when this is agreed in a collective labor agreement or in agreement with a trade union organization of civil servants.
The changes in the regulation also reduce the administrative burden for businesses. They will be able to issue the posting order electronically.
The mandatory requirement for its sealing, which creates significant difficulties and unnecessary administrative burden, is also removed.
Posting officers will be able to assess whether it is necessary to certify the presence of workers and employees at the site to which they are posted. The new regulations create conditions for more adequate reporting of travel expenses when using a private car by business travelers.
